Same story here. Would have given these two a pass had they not taken out the yard birds

I understand that, We need more Reds than these damn yotes. We also had over 200 layen hens here for years. Old man sold several dozen eggs a week. Reds were a problem back then, but not anymore.!!

That's a bunch...wow!

Yep, back in 1959 there were over 100 turkey huts here also, plus 300 damn chickens. That is why I do not like them. Way more before that!! ( my grandma sold Christmas turkeys back in the day )

Edit ,varmints are not welcome here !!

View attachment 270576 This is what we have to deal with around here. This is one of two taken with the night vision. edit last week.
Evening amberg, Curious if your monocular is also a night vision version? Was looking at night vision binoculars and saw they are over $500. Was wondering on the price and performance of your monocular. I to am having issues with coyotes getting too close to the house when I take the dogs out at night. I'm kinda old school on callers and was looking at Johnny Stewarts. Any other recommendations? Thx. Timg.

Was also wondering if anyone has had experience with the night vision optics screen you add to your existing scope. Most of these systems are under $150 vs. $800-1500 for a nice night scope. No being cheap just frugal ya know!! Any input would be appreciated.

This is what I use, It is a green light that will shine about 250 yards. I had it mounted on a 22-250, but decided it would work better on a Remington 870 with 6 rounds of Remington 3" nitro mag. number 4 buckshot for night shots close to the house. Don't remember what it cost, as I have it for a few years.

This is NOT what was used to take the the varmint in post 204. The guys that hunt here use the complete night vision scopes. They are coyote hunters and they have many thousands tied up in there night vision. It is really sweet to be able to see at night time like it is daylight. 100_0117.JPG

Thanks for the response. Glad that green laser holds up for you on that shotgun. Shotguns are hard on any optics even laser sights.
