Hello all. I have been playing with a strato 42cc poulan pro. I can not get it to start when hot. It allways floods or won't fire untill it sits for a while. I have gapped the plug and the tune is good and runs great once started but my wrist hurts from pulling so much. Lol

sometimes when a saw is hot you have to pull the throttle when starting. hold onto the saw from the rear handle in your right hand and set the bar on some wood and pull it over with the other hand and pull the trigger. it might help. sometimes when they are hot and they sit for a bit the gas will evaporate because its hot.

I tried the primer bulb bit it seemed like it didn't want to fill then I figured I flooded it and let it sit. After a while it fired up and ran great. It did this a few time during the day

Try adding some foil tape to the partition and maybe a muffler mod. Look up 562xp mods. Sounds like it's heat soaking. Here's one I did recently and it seems like it's working well. Thin piece of aerogel insulation covered with foil tape. I realize it's not the same saw but the basic principles should apply..

Thank you I blew it off and tried to start it today I pumped the primer but in only filled a little bit and I could hear air sucking. I think it needs fuel lines now. Lol
