Sadly, from what I can tell, this is recycled McCulloch, as when you go to McCulloch's web site and go to saws it sends you to Poulan and Poulan Pro. You can still see the styling cues in the new Poulan Pro saws from the old McCulloch line.

That would cost you money, instead of making some. Not sure how that works for you being a chainsaw mechanic and all. The good news is this line of saws was elevated, might not be as bad as you think...

I've never seen any Poulan sold in a shop that sold Poulan .They have all been at a box store of some kind under a number of names .

Some might not believe it but at one time they made some very impressive saws.Larger displacement models also,older of course .
