Green works but it looks pretty dark.

Anyone tried dying a 194t air filter cover? This thing will not take the dye

Yeah, always add some. Also tried a small pot with a full 8oz dye in a cup of acetone and some water. Strongest dye mix I’ve made and it did nothing it’s just went a horrible colour.

This is it next to the other orange parts of the saw I died the same day. The other parts were done in the usual time. The air filter cover boiled for 6 hours.

I just did a little experiment with this, I wanted too see if it would cover the dark blue.
I don't know how it'll hold up and in retrospect I should have done some cool flames !

Is there a material code molded into the part?

Possible this is molded out of polypropylene, which won’t take a liquid dye like nylon will
