Well I was not at all in the market for another saw. Buddy of mine had us come out and cut a couple of his small trees down a few months ago. I knew he had a saw b/c he had complained that it was not good for very much.
About a week ago he asked me what "the bigger" saw was I brought out that day...me & the boys had been out with my MS 261 and MS 400. I told him the 261 would be big enough for anything he would ever have to do.
So today I thought I would text him to see if he bought one...sure enough, got a 261. So I asked him what he was replacing, he said an MS 170. I offered to buy it, sight unseen, just for giggles since my younger sons can mess around with a saw that way. He said sure, come pick it up.
Well, for $100 Canadian he sold me what turned out to be an MS 180, plus a case. The saw is like new. He had been complaining about it not cutting very well...got it home and noticed he had the chain on backward.
Didn't really need one but what the hell, for $100 we'll add it to the collection!
