From what I see the brace on the starter side of the super is not on the regular P100 .I can only assume the brace was added to strengthen the lower handle which is pivoted from the casting on the saw which is not a very good design .My other one in McCulloch paint scheme has a broken pivot .

How about porting or piston?

I rather doubt there's any diff .I will say this from a casual observation of the cylinder .It doesn't have external flanges like most removable cylinder designs .They are cut with metal all around them from holes in the bottom of the cylinder making the point of attachment stronger than normal flanges . I'll know more once I really get into it but it appears to be very well made other then the pivot point of the lower handle .

Of late I bought a reprint of the IPL for the pm1000 saw .With Mcculloch parts numbers I have cross referenced the seals to CR .As follows FW side ,mac number 32086--cr # 5805 Clutch side ,Mac # 32087 CR # 8552 .Nothing so far on the bearings .

I went ahead and picked up that 1 owner Partner S65 today. Guy bought it new Nov 1, 1985 for $399.99. Have receipt, warranty cards and all the books with the big IPL page.

I didnt want or need the saw but figure I will check it out and pass it onto someone that will want it.

Found a piece of a e-clip in a bag I got with the saw. Looking at IPL it shows the one on recoil. When I looked at saw yesterday I didnt see anything. Anyone know or have a pic of this on this series of saw? This is a complete one.

Yes Kevin, that clip looks to be complete.

;)

My P100 had one that held the recoil spool on the spindle. There should be a slot in the spindle for that center tab to go through.

Slowly I am finding the missing parts for the P100 super I have partly disassembled in a box .Unless the E-bay seller is pulling my leg I have a clutch cover in transit .No brake but that's fine with me .
Next is figuring out the bearings and seals .I'll damned certain not pay 39 bucks for a freakin seal like some want .
The biggest challenge on older rather rare saws is the hunt for the parts .It's one of those things you need a lot of patience if you pursue something like this . I'll get-er-done it's just a matter of time .

On the above mention of the clutch cover .for those who don't know it's the same as the P85 .I had been looking on flea bay for some time until I found one for less than the 100 bucks they try to get for them . 30 bucks shipped .

One piece at a time I guess for the P100 ,new fly wheel in transit .Seals, rings and bearings plus a gas cap to go .This danged thing certainly is not like finding parts for a Stihl or McCulloch .More like a parts chase for a 1940 Indian Chief motorcycle .Lawdy !

Partner concrete saws were very popular in this area at one time .Strangely I never saw one Partner chainsaw until I went to few GTG's
