I have a guys P70 here and trying to vac test found two factory holes that create purposely leaks. One in crank to oil clutch bearing and one on top of block by cylinder. Once plugged it passes vac test. My though knowing what we do no about air leaks is maybe this isn't such a great design. I'm doubtful though moto seal will stay in crank though. Any experience on this?

Epoxy? What kind?

There's a significant amount of air that travels through those holes. I see this as more of an engineering solution to a problem that didn't really exist

I would leave the hole in the crank, the saw was make this way. I believe the hole in the case is the oil tank vent, if so you have a bad case gasket. or it has to do with the oil pump. been a long time since I worked on one.

all the k series husky concrete saws have that hole. if i remember right there is a ball and spring in it that seals on intake stroke. use to grease the clutch bearing. all you have to do is put a piece of scotch tape over the hole when doing press and vac test

It would suck the moto seal in when I pulled it over by hand. I sealed it with JB weld I guess worst case it will just spit that out. If the other is a oil tank vent then maybe it has a possible case gasket then like mentioned above. That makes sense now why it would be leaking.

if I remember right. the oil pump is on the inside of the crank seal.
