Some say the true net worth of what you leave behind is measured by how long it takes to hold the auction .
If The heirs have that "CENTS" to have a sale.
I was helping a sister move (5 sisters so I have Done it a few times) And my nephew -a young teen- was complaining and trying to be funny.. He said he wished it was me they were moving. My brother in Law made me smile when he told him It would take years and a freight train to move all my stuff. We all knew when reality hit the nephew.

Well you get into that stuff that goes back goes back generations it's kind of hard to get rid of .I've got the last CJ model Jeep my dad ever rebuilt .He did over a dozen after he retired .My great grandfathers 1950 Buick with 24,000 original miles .A 1938 Model B Allis Chalmers I rebuilt and restored as a junior in high school .Some archives from the American Non Gran Bronze company my great grandfather owned in Berwyn Pa which BTW made the engine bearings for the Spirit of St Louis as well as all the bearings for the liberty trucks during WW1 .I couldn't bring myself to getting rid of some that stuff for any amount of money .

Here is the only pic i have right now. I will get some more on monday. I had ratchets in foam that i cut each ratchet out. That took for damn ever. And i like to add ratchets whenever they are on sale. I run out of ratchet space quite often and have to send some to the big box. 20200107_091643_HDR.jpg

Some more of my junk .First my big drill box with bits up to 2 inch .This is part of them and the chucks, quick change adapters etc .reamers .
Next my two big drills .One is an American Hole Wizard radial with I think a 10" or 12" column and around 4 feet of reach .I think that one has a
number 4 MT quill circa 1940.Next a spotting drill ,Fosdick circa pre 1920 also number 4 MT quill .That one has a table like a milling machine x- y axis .
I think the biggest hole I've drilled was 1 1/4" but the speed/feed plate shows same up to 2"

Who said I don't get snagged ? Oh it's on the "to do " list which is getting longer.Lots of irons in the fire .What I haven't shown are the big cabinets on both walls .One is 28 feet the other is 32 feet long .Made from large electrical machine panels 18" deep and 7 feet high ,10 gauge steel and weigh a ton .Parts from Indian motorcycles to Caterpillar tractors ,John -Deere and a thousand other things .I have a fairly good idea of what is where believe it or not .I'm telling you the life of a junk collector is not for the weak of heart .:)

What I'd like to do if I can is erect another smaller shop where my house is at .40 feet wide and some where around 32 feet deep .I've got both 40 foot bar joists and 20's so what ever it works out to .I've got 12,000 square feet of 22 gauge standing seam roofing which will work just as well for siding .
The plan is to take those Kennedy bottom tool boxes and line them up and put a hardwood top over them on one wall .The other will be my wood working machinery which is hogging all my extra space in my garage at the moment .I'm getting a little long in the tooth (actually no teeth )but I think I have one more building left in me .

There are some high points of the cart and a pic of the big box. Most everything has a specific place. That way its easy to tell if something is missing.

I have those kind of socket trays in my big box but they seemed like a pain in the butt in the roll cart. I bought some 90* snap on socket trays and those are the cats a$$ but expensive as crap.

Some really good ideas on this thread. I'm going to have to make some brackets to get my cordless tools and impact guns out of my way.
My brother told me how to set up my dream garage. He's 66 and never had a garage. I told him that my dream garage is a warm, dry place, where I build my dreams.
