Chainsaw design has certainly come a long way since these days. None of us would want to heft one of these all day as your job, but just think of how nice these saws were back in there day compared to misery whips and axes.

I'll bet they thought this new age of machines was the 2nd coming !
I'll also bet they didn't complain about the weight either !!

Solo Rex and Skil 1661. The Rex is 125cc. The 1661 is a PM Canadien 360 (I think) at 95 cc

Both are runners. The Solo has a lot of cracks in the mag.
