I think it is a RPM or early Lawn Boy 1rb10 sold as a craftsman

my engine seems to be the converted horizontal with external oil sump. the hole for the engine is smaller casting has 1rb20 so I think it is sears 2nd four cycle rotary mower.

I bought two Lawnboy's that had replacement Tecumseh 840 engines on them a couple weeks back.

Been awhile since posting on this thread. Here's a small line up of a few oddballs I picked up recently. A 1962 Sears self propelled, '87 Craftsman vacuum shredder bagger (first and only one of these I've seen), and a Snapper that came equipped from the factory with the Tecumseh 840 two cycle. I also picked an early reel type mower mainly for the Power Products model 1000 engine that was used on it, the more I look at it I may still make it a runner again. I was able to free everything up on it, so I think it could work once again.

And this is the latest one I grabbed a few days back. Still unsure of the mower maker, engine is an early Lauson from 1956, the same year Tecumseh bought Lauson.

The blue one is a Sunbeam, the gray and orange one is a Lambert "Wizz-Pur" 12 volt battery powered.
