Well I was wondering why they cut it like that ? What are they thinking ? Must be some really crazy myth out there about it.

My neighbor is the king of split cutting lol
Hundreds of tree's like this i know of a guy that knocked his teeth out doing this.
i've only met this guy once i will talk to him about it.

Those look like hinge cuts for wildlife/deer

He only cuts next to the road he has a lot of property.
I really don't know why he does it.
