I blame Cole and Randy. They started this whole thing when they asked me to find 462's.

Honestly? Amazon. They do offer .mil discount (i think 25%) and they have a big 40% off sale running now.

Fit is pretty good. They advertise wearing the same size as athletic shoes. I tried on 3 or 4 different boots wearing wool socks (I wear wool year round) and grabbed what was comfortable.

We wore xtratuff boots on the boats up in Alaska commercial fishing very durable and non skid, only boot that would hold up. Lacross was pretty good too. Be careful and verify where things are made first and don't make any assumptions nowadays.

If they fit properly, they are like wearing slippers. Very comfortable and relatively light for a “rubber” boot.

Does not surprise me, Red Wing does still make a few good boots in Minnesota, otherwise most are Chinese junk. Chippewa's are good yet for regular boots, insulated ones are from China. I still wear a pair of LaCross's from over twenty years ago as my winter slip on boot for checking the boiler and such. It is sad to see what greedy men with no moral fortitude can achieve.
