When i did hardwood and carpet/tile
We had several of those vans
318/360 over the year's
We had a spare 727 transmission
In the back of each one.
And a few gallons of fluid.
I changed a couple on gas station
Parking lots
They couldn't take all the weight we carried.
6-8 miles to a gallon sometimes.
Drag link broke on the bosses
It went 60ft-70ft
Over a hillside into a creek
He said he got the battery paperwork and plates
And walked away lol
Being 18 i high centered one on a csx rail crossing with a load of tile that would have made a one ton groan lol
I got my tools and got out
My boss had me put it in neutral
And he rammed it with his truck
Until it came off the tracks.

Got a free Toro Super Bronco mower with a bad motor, gave him $75 for the bagger attachment and 50” deck. Came with a 17hp Kohler Courage that cracked badly and let all the magic smoke, and oil, out.

Hit up the junkyard and scored a 23hp Kohler Command for $60. Slapped it on, fired up and ran. Still have to run the new throttle cable as the original isn’t long enough. Of course new fuel filter and other basics.

All in all i have less than $150 into it. Not bad.....

We had a later model one at work for a delivery van and between it and the Ford it was more comfortable.

Then a semi rear ended it in KC traffic.

People live in the modern vans
Stealth living they call it a whole community of people i saw on YouTube
Doing it lol
Modern vans are very comfortable and reliable
500k i've seen on diesels
Compared to old ones.
Reliable good ac good on gas.
I'm going to find a fullsize to camp out of.
