What are you building with your milled wood Nick?
I built a great staircase out of red cedar off the farm and a six inch thick oak slab for a bathroom counter. The staircase has only four 2x12''s that are store bought. The oak countertop sits about 30 ft from where it grew. These were done chainsaw only. I only used the band saw to make lumber from a power line pole and it's still in a stack. I have plans to use my bandsaw buddy for a lot more lumber but haven't cut the cants yet.

Sounds pretty nice. Do you have any pics of it?

Afternoon guys.

Had a good moment today, was bsn with my 74 year old neighbor's Gary and Rita when Rita's brother rolls around the corner in his newer super charged Challenger piss revving it in neutral until he parks it and hops out asking who want a beer.

Almost called in lol.

Evening monkeys! Tried to find the R/C thread in Off Topic...guess I missed it or don’t know how to search for it correctly. I’ll find it eventually and put this over there as well, but for now...

Navy son will be here in about three weeks for a little vacation time. He bought two Traxxis Slash 4x4, 1/10 scale trucks (about 24” long, 12” wide, 14” wheelbase) and had them sent here to avoid having to fly them in cargo on carry on. Been fooling with ‘em for a couple of evenings now (suspension/suspension arms, A-arms, shocks, shock towers, differentials, drive shafts, u-joints, etc, etc) after reading quite a bit lately about ‘em online. These damn things are crazy fast on 2S 25C discharge, 7600 mAh LiPo’s. They’ll run 6-8 Cell NiMH or 3S LiPo’s as well. Better have a lot of room if you gonna run 3S LiPo’s...they cover ground fast enough on these 2S LiPo’s. They’ve got the Velineon Brushless 3500kV motors, VXL-3S speed controllers, and a deal called On-Board Audio (speakers that have volume control and replicate the 900-hp engines in the real deal off-road trucks). The audio deal is actually pretty cool...responds exactly to throttle input. Can program the speed controller (ESC) for either Sport, Race, or Training mode. I started in Sport mode which is WFO...didn’t take long to set the speed controllers in each to Training mode, lol. These things will flat out get it in Sport or Race mode. Only difference btwn Sport and Race mode...in Race mode, no reverse, forward only. Training mode reduces fwd/rev input by 50%. If you got a yardfull of weeds or grass you don’t want, get a couple of these yard chewing things, a buddy to drive the other truck, and a case or two of beer...it’ll look like barren wasteland in no time!
