I remember pics of that saw...had a carry case or wood box it came in...tough looking saw!

The only thing I was thinking.......is that the OEM cylinder and piston has changed a few times over that time. Maybe Meteor was waiting until Husky settled on one.

I gotta look through those IPL's, but I thought ruffly 3 or 4 jugs and 3 pistons.
Maybe its a troublesome piston design, its weird they used so long time

I have to believe that is why the Husky piston is only a few $ cheaper then the C/P kit. They want guys to update the whole assembly instead just the new pistons in the old style jugs.

I have to believe that is why the Husky piston is only a few $ cheaper then the C/P kit. They want guys to update the whole assembly instead just the new pistons in the old style jugs.

That and they dropped the prices on P&C kits, sometimes just the piston actually costs more on a broad range of saws.
