I tried, can't do it. I like it too much and can't get wages to even compare. I used all my vacation and sick time to go log. Just how it is, guess I'm just a logger nothing else. I'm ok with that. Minus being clobbered. Got pounded in the head last week hard enough it landed me on my belly and made my mouth bleed. Gotta stay vigilant!!

That's the way to do it. Today's youth would have just quit without even telling him and been chit out of luck

Man it was hard to do that. I burned it as much as he did. Wet didn't talk for over 18 months. Were better friends now than ever. Worked for him for 9 years.

I concur. Logging is different. I'm 30 and consider myself young still. I honestly might know 4 people younger than me that log for a living.

My dad's family are loggers. My uncle and dad started going to the woods on weekends when they were 7, running saws by age 10 or 12. My uncle still does it. 6 days a week and 75 years old.

He's retired on a fixed income.
