Fixed a saw today that the piston pin came out of and lodged itself in the lower transfer port not allowing it to be pulled over to start. Had to do a little twisting and turning to get the cylinder to get turned loose. Saw had zero damage and I put it back together again with a new circlip. Unreal.

Was that the 440 you show a pic of in the oil thread?

A friend gave me 272 spikes and a carb. He also had a 266xp top cover we traded out. Have you tried a 272 carb on a 266?

I have not. I think you might have to put a notch in the top cover to access the High idle screw and might be better with a 272 style guide. I believe your 266 has a built in screw in the case?

Yeah the idle screw is the only hiccup I see so far. Not sure what to do about it yet. Don't really want to take the cover off to adjust idle. Here in a little bit I will put it on and see what exactly can be done.
