Evening smellers,
Buddy ended up buying the old Nordic snowmobile we went and looked at, after all the beating up I did pointing out what was potentially wrong, he folded like a cheap suit and payed every penny the guy was asking. Had to fix one sled ahead of it in the shop. Rebuilt the recently rebuilt carburetor, the gasket did not have a holler in it for the impulse to the fuel pump. No gasket on the diaphragm, inlet lever too low and the needle set in the seat so hard I could barely get it out. And this was supposed to be a snowmobile mechanic??? When the guy said it didn't work, the mechanic told him he doesn't know what else to do, as he couldn't plug his computer into it. She's running good now, had to flatten the fuel pump plates with a piece of glass and sandpaper to get it to seal up nice and tight and pass pressure testing. Looks like it will be going on a run this weekend. So not too bad of a day.
