How close are the fires to you Randy?

About a 6 hour drive. For most of the summer SW Oregon burned, about 30 minutes away.
It is forecast for rain next week, maybe wednesday into the weekend, won't reach very far south, but it might help.
After the show finishes up in the North, it will travel south in search of a new audience.

Wildfires need an intensity index like Hurricanes and earthquakes, maybe kilotons of energy released per hour.
One look at photos of Santa Rosa and the term kiloton is very apt.
That Tubbs Fire ran 12 miles in three hours, leapt a six lane freeway and started munching on structures.
I am in pure awe.
