562 mod. One to let air out for hot start issues (never had,but don't want) and other to let more air in the filter

Clint, check to see your cover isn't just blowing/ bleeding off cool air that otherwise could/would have went by the motor, could have a reverse affect otherwise.

Guess I don't see it that way Steve. Just like water or air. ...heat rises. If that was the case, Husqvarna wouldn't of made a different version of the top cover to let hot air out. Maybe I'm wrong?

Yes, the side the triangle is on the air has already went past the motor from the fan. The side you put the frog skin on is the fan side, so if it leaks out(while running) you will be loosing cooling capacity while running.

Don't think of your hot start, think of it while it's running, if air is pouring out of that frog skin, it's not cooling your motor.

So cool air travels from the flywheel up and out the frog skin but it won't cool as it goes by the fins?
