Got a pic of your splifter mount? Did you run it parallel to your quick attach or at 90degrees? I have been thinking about converting mine to tractor but was heading towards 3pt. position. But I like the idea of a quick attach front mount and I have an extra QA Bale spike setup that would make a perfect HD mount, I have a Euro mount instead of skid loader.Yeah it's got it. It's an L48 Kubota. They all come with a frame-mounted qd backhoe and has 3 pt arms that take about 5 minutes to put on. I had an old wood splitter that ran like crap. I cut the axle and motor pan off it and converted it to run off the front quick detach mount and front aux hydraulics.
Night SteveNight fellas, see you all in the morning time.![]()
Good evening DJ, how are you doing?Goodnight Steve and Drew..
At 90degrees?I welded the splitter to the quick detach plate
I wonder if you would be further ahead to rig up a hydraulic motor to the original two stage pump. Figure out where you had to be to hold 3600 rpms on the motor. Seems it would work just as well as the original splitter with the gas engine. The front pump is only 12gpm. But the splitter only has a 3" cylinder for now. It won't split big stuff in half, so I just take a 3 or 4" slab off and rotate, repeat. 3.5 second cycle time at 1500 rpm though lol
I beam or whatever you have running parallel to QA?Flat against the plate
right cut everything from bottom of beam and weld it onI beam or whatever you have running parallel to QA?
I'm ok getting a little tired. Gotta get used to being up all night. I'm going to be working nights this weekend for the first time in quite a while.Good evening DJ, how are you doing?
I don't have a pic. I ran it straight out the front. 3 point might work better because of a larger pump in back. Mine has 3 pumps for a total I think of 26gpm. I wish the front was more like 20gpm, but it works ok as is. A 4" cylinder on it would still be faster than most hydraulic splitters. I usually only run it at about 1000 rpmGot a pic of your splifter mount? Did you run it parallel to your quick attach or at 90degrees? Yea that's what I thought, what do you think about standing it off 18"-20" to utilize that space as a table?right cut everything from bottom of beam and weld it on
