In the 80s A man named carnell had a big farm he had xl12s hanging on hay hooks in several different barns and they had numbers scratched into them 1 to 5 i think.
the farm hands would use them all day and return it to it's hook after sharpening them if they had trouble to the old man to fix.
i always liked the thought of that but now there wouldn't be a saw left.

It just goes to show ya how people are turning in to crap.

3 bunnies today. We got rained out about 11:30 then it slowed up. Rained off and on all day.

I saw this when we stopped to gather up one of the rabbits. First time I've seen a snake in February in all my 40 years.

A couple years a go I was morel hunting in March here saw a copper head hauling tail then a second latter saw the bull snake coming after him . I LAUGHED my ass off.
Best thing that could ever happen to a copper head.

Do you normally have a lot of morels out there? I've only ever found one here in PA and I hunt every day of our Turkey season.

morels aka dry land fish here either white or black though the white ones have more taste.
i do my hunting in march and usually come home with 2-3 bushel sacks full. they are damn tasty fried after soaking in salt water overnight.

Yes if the conditions are right usually start looking after a see dandy lions and a week of low temps staying above freezing. Also we find them around cotton wood trees that have been dead a year or two oh and the north bank of creeks and rivers they love that sun

I'll have to look around maybe mid April would be good here. We often have snow in March.
