I have a NE 346 that barely has a scratch on it. I can't talk myself into modifying it yet.

That'd be one I'd send to a pro. I had one like that by Moobs, but someone liked it a lot and traded me out of it. Now I need to piece another together, I think I have two of three case sets and most parts.

Molemab I think they are called, Italian made anyway. I use the China made ones for depth gauges and such. Tecomec /Oregon (also made in Italy) are good as well, would like to try the diamond type some day when I can spend the money.

low gearing will rape fuel mileage.
i use to have a 89 f250 5spd 300 i6 4x4 running 3.55 gearing it got 18-19 highway
had a 1/2 ton with the same engine and transmission 4x4 with 4:10 gears it got 10-11 on a good day.

Muh 2wd half ton has 3.22 gears.... on a good day get 14 mpg. Muh 4.10 gears in my 2500HD 4wd get 18 mpg.
