Wayne, I dont recall which thread I told you to increase the pop off in the carb but you can drop the lever a tad to increase it.
How goes it, Jon boy? You get that thing running today?

The classic...PBR. We used to huff those bad boys down back in the late 70's, along with Schlitz Malt Liquor Bulls, Old Milwaukee (nastiest chit on the planet), and little Pony Millers. All we could afford, lol. If we saved up enough jingle, we could go top shelf...a fifth of Old Crow. Ha!!!

I'll add to your list Carling's Black Label(The Black Death), Go-Go Goebel, Fox Deluxe 400 to the get it in and let it do its job on the cheap beers, and jug of Kessler's if ya really wanted to get squirrely (that stuff will make ya crazy). You knew things were pretty tight when all you had was a bottle of Mad Dog 20-20 wine. Those were the days alright!

I remember a many a night on Black Label, and the Kessler routine. Hard to remember all the cheap chit we used to knock down. The ol' Mad Dog 20-20...we sucked down a tanker or two of that cheap chit too. Hard to get the gals to stay on it, we'd usually spend a few bucks on some Boonesfarm, and the tail was a had ass. It was a done deal!

Funny what we used to drink back in them days.

The gals I met would dump anything down their gullet, as long as it was free.

I was a young product of my older 10 brothers and sisters back in them days. I was 12 yrs old having sex with my older sisters galfriends, smoking cigarettes for the first time, drinking with my brothers for the first time. I won't never forget the day my older brothers and friends were cooking mushrooms with grape Kool-Aid, and they said...'let Jason have a shot of it, let's watch him trip.' I couldn't even ride my bicycle in the yard, I actually crashed my Huffy bike in the ditch...went head over the handlebars right into the ditch. Then they took me, knowing mom and dad would be home shortly, across the street to the woods...where all the older idiots had their own 'pits' built. They kept trying to get me on my Huffy, knowing I was *f-worded up, I kept crashing into the sticker bushes and chit, just getting tore up. Finally ended up at the house that evening with a couple of older brothers telling mom and dad I crashed riding the dirt trails we ride dirt bikes on. Thank God at that time we had two Honda XR75's, that mom and dad bought for us kids. I was kinda skint up from the crashing in the ditch, sticker bushes and chit, from the shroom juice...but I never dropped the dime on my brothers. Never! They used to make me smoke the hemp too back in those days, a toke here and there. Hell, I thought I was being like them...being cool.

I went through some crazy ass upbringing with my older 10 siblings...I didn't know no better at that time. Just trying to be like them....it was the norm fellas.

I saw a heap of chit well before I should've ever seen it in a world where folks don't grow up with so many older brothers/sisters who go back to the 50's/60's growing up. I think I could write a book on this chit and probably get it published. No doubt. You wouldn't begin to believe what I've seen with this crew.

I'm just glad fellas I had sense enough to show up on Paris Island back in Jan '86...of my own decision after graduating HS. I've spent my time in pure hell in combat for years...now after leaving active duty...working DoD civil service on C-17's for our fine military...and I do my job to the best of my ability every single day I'm on that flightline. Those planes ain't worth a chit sitting grounded for heavy maintenance that's required. The C-17 fleet is getting older everyday...they take more and more maintenance every year based on flight hours.

I enjoy my job fellas...some of these same C-17's ferried my Jarhead ass along with many others, to the other side of the planet. They simply let you off like a big ass taxi...and you hope you're alive to get back on one for the return trip. Too damn many men, brothers had to be loaded onto them. That was the absolute ass kicker.

I live now, and for many yrs after my first and only 18 yr marriage that dissolved in '06...for my kids. I've never faltered on that deal. Son is aboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier, daughter is in Ga Southern University. The kids have been my focus ever since. Ex and I talk a few times a week/text many times a week, no *f-wording with the kids mentality. They deserve the best of what I and she can afford them. Because we couldn't hold the marriage doesn't mean our investment, the kids, have to suffer. And that's the way the Jarhead will have it. No time for cheap BS. The ex and I live 8 miles apart...and have never had a bad word btwn us since the divorce. She actually comes here to my home for the fine smoked/grilled groceries quite often. I ain't got no problem with that. They ain't no sense in it fellas...she knows how I smoke and grill the groceries...and if she's wanting to take some groceries for the next few days to snack on, more power to her. I could give a damn less. I want my grilling/smoking to get eaten. And I've been told my chit's as good as the competition fellas do.

I guess bottom line fellas...I'm glad I'm where I'm at on this planet. I went through a lotta chit that I never would've thought would've gotten me here today.

Do me a favor fellas, all I ask of ya...don't ever forget the brothers/sisters we had to physically load up on the return trip. They are the true HEROS and WARRIORS in all these many years. They deserve our absolute HONOR guys. Good, bad, different/indifferent...they came home the wrong way...not on their own feet. After a rotation...to see the wives, children, etc, when we eventually touched down back in the States at Dover, was a heartbreaking deal back in those years...to tote the flag-draped coffins off that *f-wordin plane...It was as real as life and death as you've ever knew it. And I toted the flag-draped coffins off the back of that airplane with discipline...shedding tears the whole time.

Didn't mean to write another novel fellas. I'm glad I have you crew as a sounding board, I can do a little talking, if you folks don't mind. ...I'm ok in life, thankful for where I'm at with my crazy ass growing up past, and my Corps experiences...my son who's doing great aboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier, my daughter who's at Georgia Southern University, and where I'm at now kicking ass DoD with those govt C-17's.

You saw junkies have a good night....got my Boston Butts rubbed down for the Traeger at sun up. Gonna be some good pulled pork, low and slow, tomorrow afternoon.
