Lisa joined our fire department last spring. Our pagers have the option for our departments channel and also a setting to listen to other departments.

One of the first nights that she had the pager she had it set to the band for the surrounding departments.
I chit you not, one of them was actually for a cat stuck in a tree

Later in that evening another call came in for that same department because someone spilt "approximately" a quart of oil on their driveway

I remeber when I was a kid we had a greyhound boxer mix mut. All I can say was the cat didn't climb high enough.
