Where it needs to be cut is a little overwhelming to me. 36" bar plunge cut is asking a lot of some saws.

I would too. Bunch of big ratchet straps for about 10-15' up the tree

I know I'd run a chain or come a long on in a couple spots but I'm no pro or feller

I've had to chain halves together on a double trunk sweet gum. It was up about 15' and then split to two stems. The two stems were separating and one was headed for a garage. They had to come down together... so I chained them together, hooked a 4wd tractor to it 25' up.... played out well.


Not sure your exact situation... planning for one you aren't 100% comfortable with is worth it.

-4F and snow falling WTF is that all about???

Some of the weirdest weather in years. I don't think I ever remember so many times when the temp has dropped and then the snow came. It's usually the big warm ups that bring the moist air to us.

All I can say is enough better fall to warrant getting the snow blower out, it's already too much for my leaf blower and my power sweeper... Having to use a manual shovel for the in between amounts really bites...
