Last night I took mum to her favorite place to eat. I consider it a higher end joint and it's about a hour away from us, so we get there maybe once every other year or so. The last time we were there we ended up getting our meal for free and a gift card for a free meal the next time we showed up because we got seated next to a 6 year olds birthday party. (Who takes about 15 six year olds to a high end hint is beyond me, but whatever)


Last night we had reservations at 7. It was 45 mins before we even got a seat.
20 mins before we even got water and another 20 mins before we got drinks... The service just plain sucked all the way around the whole night.

From when we walked in the doors until we left was just about 3 1/2 hours.... I was pissed



Needless to say I guess we gotta go back again cause we'll be eating on them again and we to least ate and drank on them again last night....


Service at restaurants is getting chittier and chittier. I've began to expect it from big chain places. I guess I expect better from higher end joints....

Heating guy works full time and took a couple months to get the radiant done...

I'm actually about ready to go work for someone. Tired of the game, crappy materials.
I never thought I'd say it but I think I'll be happier working for someone else now. Plus I need some benefits.
When my wife got sick 10 years ago, I had no insurance, lost everything. Still paying for it...

I know exactly how you feel. I've been on my own for 22 years, bringing my work and it's responsibilities home with me every damn night. Sometimes I think I wanna hop back in a loader or excavator for 8 or 10 hours a day and leave it right there when I'm done. If not for being able to set my own schedule and work when I want, I would have done it by now

Lisa's grandma had dimentia, right when I started coming around is when she started to deteriorate.

One of the first times I met her grandparents Lisa was talking with her grandma and telling her more about me.
Her grandma told her "Now remember hunny, God designed light switches in bedrooms for a reason"
