I restrained myself today.... I only went for one helping, but it was a big plate. I had to put Eli to bed cause Lisa went out with our daughter and MIL to the mall for some shopping.

For some reason my family decided to bring guns along today to do some shooting at my grandparents. Of course I was unaware that there was going to be guns involved
It was ok though, I wasn't left without anything. I think they were shocked that I was unaware that they were going to shoot, yet I was the last one left shooting at the end of the afternoon because I "just so happened" to have my carry along with the gun I keep in the car along with a ammo can of ammo.....


I even ended up getting to hunt this evening, but that didn't end so well... I saw three nice doe at what I thought was a little over 150 yards away. I held over just a hair, I watched the slug impact just above her as I was ready to reengage.....
After hanging my head in shame I paced it off and she was 100 yards away

The shotgun only thing sucks. I bought a nikon rangefinder for $400. The boys needed it for airsoft. And no one has seen it since . I picked up one on ebay for like $150 and it works flawlessly up to 1600 yds.

Found it. It's been 5 years since I bought it. Tried looking for a link, but no dice. Found some reviews though- all really good. It's supposedly a 1500 yd rangefinder. My first experience was a yellow curve road sign at 1680 yds. Some research might shed light on a current model. It was cheap, but it blows everything similarly priced out of the water
