Next time someone mentions "comfort food" I'm gonna ........

I live in what I call rural America. Couple years ago I was selling something. This libby comes over to look at it. Before he leaves, he asks if there were any good places to eat. I asked him what kind of food he wanted. He's like "oh, uhh, like maybe comfort food, or something like that. That would be great". I was a comfort food virgin at the time. I'm like wtf? Sent him to McD's.

Bet "comfort food " means different things around the world...for me its the kind off thing that "sticks to your ribs" as we say over here. You know....stew and dumplings...thick soup and fresh bread ...that kinda thing.......warming stuff on a bad weather day .

That might be what it means here too. I'd never heard the term before. I was taken back a bit, to say the least, lol

No bucks have been taken around here from what I've heard.

My buddies got two nice doe yesterday morning. They've got a 420 qt Yeti in the back of the truck. Between their hunt in Nebraska and what they've taken here over the past two days the cooler is almost 3/4 full. They are out this morning trying to get it filled before they head home today.
