they need to quit making narcan and let them just overdose

Damn straight!!!

I just had this discussion with my wife last week. She is on our local Fire and Rescue and I am looking to join too. I made the comment that I'd have a hard problem giving Narcan to a Junkie.
She's said she's seen it given to Junkies in the hospital. She said its the coolest thing ever watching a junkie come out of it and watching the pain that they instantly endure. She said its very fulfilling to see.

I believe in second chances. If a junkie OD's, give em a chance. Give them a shot of Narcan if its not to late. Get them to rehab and hopefully they get rehabilitated.

Now if they go back to being a Junkie and OD, let them lay in their own piss and *s-word.

I'll chime in.....

I am a recovering addict.

This month will be 11 years clean and sober for me.

That said, I still don't like the idea of making it easy on an addict. The best way to help them is to see to it that they hit bottom as fast as possible.

Most people who have a drug addict in their family try to protect them from themselves, bail them out, feed, and clothe them. Well *f-word that. They will take advantage of the help. They will manipulate every situation. Help them straight to jail.....or to a homeless shelter. Run them off. Walk away.

Once they are flat out, and can go no lower, they will either die, or get clean.

It doesn't matter if it's alcohol, street dope, or prescription drugs, dope is dope. To an addict, it's all deadly.

Great post,I have a aunt and uncle that have been using for long as I can remember. It's sad but I really believe they will die before they get sober. My uncle is 60 years old and still on meth, and go figure not much jail time. Congratulations on your 11 years clean and sober,I quit drinking about 5 years ago and feel great.

Randy, we all agree on 2nd chances. It's the 3rd, 4th, and 5th that get hard to swallow. But in my post above, I'm actually referring to the cop killers. I just can't believe none of our higher-ups stand up for our cops. They face public humiliation and loss of career if they're wrong, but if they stop to make sure, it's too late.

I hope you didn't misunderstand my post brother. I am not in favor of second chances.

As for police and the job they do. Thank God for those men and women. Can you imagine living in a world without them?

Now......what I see in the Dakotas right now is not a police matter in my mind. That's something different entirely.

Good morning Jason I wouldn't want to be that meth head comes down the police are going to be pretty pissed with him
They'll send his sorry ass to Jackson Diagnostic Center just north of me in Jackson, Ga. That's where they do all the death penalty injections in Ga. I hope they send that MF'r through the 'express' checkout lane.

My sister who's a Houston Co Deputy Sheriff new the deputy (Peach Co/neighboring county) who was killed very well...she said he was one of the nicest, most decent people you'd ever run across...would do anything in the world for you.

Why and the hell do the chains come loose so much on a husky saw? This 390 I'm running it seems like all you get don't doing is cranking the chain tight again? Maybe since the tensioner is attached to the clutch cover idk. Freakin aggravating though.

I'm the *a-hole neighbor who never does leaves. I let them blow into my neighbors yard.
That's a whole lot better than my *a-hole neighbor that runs his loud as hell lawn tractor 4 or five times a week on his 1 acre lot just to pick up leaves! Last week I worked night shift and seems like he woke me up everyday!
