The rain does not bother me so much ,keeps it warm ,the mud it creates sucks though when drive on it or animals walk on it and tear the ground all up .Makes a mess .

Yay! Spend all day cutting and splitting 3 cord of dry wood I had for my FIL cuz he didn't get his wood done this spring. Drove an hour in my hook truck, dumped the load, parked the truck and went in the house for a cup of coffee. Came out... Front tire flat on the rim... Pulled it off got the bead seated, sure enough piece of f'n glass in the sidewall. Truck center don't have my size tire...
Guess I'll be coming back out this way tomorrow...

Good evening men. Been humping it for a few days getting concrete piers and 6" floor ready for a 26x100' steel building addition. Tuckered out. 50 yds of concrete tomorrow and she'll be good to go

Thanks Kev. Second time I've driven it in 6 months, second tire... My dad drives it mostly. Oh well. The truck is nice to have when I need it.

You said it was a "hook" truck. Not familiar. Like a boom truck with a cable hoist? Or a roll-off box?

Like a roll off, but instead of cables, it has a hydraulic hook.

Yep. We call it a roll-off. Dad had one on an 88 Chevy 1 ton dually. Used to load a 40hp Kubota and carrots on it and take it to hunting camp. Impressive power to load up 6k pounds and haul it away
