We have a dozen cranes in each dock of the four C-17 hangars, eight in each of the hangar that holds two C-17's. Keep 10 of those big bastards under roof at all times, 365 days a yr. And four or five outside getting worked on until they find a home inside the hangars.Classes are done and passed my test. This is the crane I'll be training on. Have three guys I have to get trained on my job first though!![]()

I hand salute your brother my friend. That's a hard flight for any service member and pilot or aircrew. Tough carrying that cargo. It makes me shed a tear as well after all these yrs from combat. I'm 49 now, but if I could get a ride back to that sandbox, I'd do it all over again. Combat is a *f-worded up thing...once it's in you...it's in you. Hunting humans ain't nothing to me...sad to say but it is what it is. I'd like a little payback for my brothers and sisters who didn't come home under their own power. My brother has flown C-17's but mostly C-130's. A few weeks ago i helped him put a new door on his house. As we were coming back from Menard's that song Angel Flight (first time i had heard of the song) came on the radio, he started crying like MFer, and he told me he has flown more than one angel flight. That is something i never knew he had done. SO PROUD OF MY LITTLE BROTHER.
Great pic there my friendCool! This will be a better job than what I'm on now. Pay is the same though. Went for a spin in this crane this morning. Much smaller than the one in my department.![]()
Way to go for the young man!!Went to our fall HS sports awards banquet tonight. My son received all conference recognition and co-defensive mvp awards. Tied for 2nd in tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 of those he ran for a TD. They missed the playoffs by one win. I'd love to wish him better luck next year, but can't. Oh well. Maybe he'll go somewhere in his last year of baseball.
Nice looking saw there Joe
