Old..Nope...plugs are a must for me when using the flail chop on my tractor to top pasture or running the saw bench. That has a cab from the 1970's era so not what you would call a 'Q' cab .
I got it from my neighbor. He was going to trade it in on a newer one, but couldn't find the deal he wanted on a bigger one with a backhoe. I offered to sell mine and buy his, so he picked up a 2012 70hp with cab. That way, one of us still has something with a hoe on it for cleaning out beaver dams

Thank you.

I will say something that was told to me early on... "It's not the saws that are important, but it is the people you meet along the way." It's a very true statement. The 990G and the ported 394 are the only saws I'd have heartburn selling as it was sold to me at a more than fair price as someone knew I was quietly looking hard for one. That makes it a gift...to profit on someone's generosity is wrong in my opinion. The rest of them...they are just hunks of metal. In the past few years I have made some great friends.... that's priceless.

That being said they can all go down the road. Some are priced higher as I use them more...some priced less...like a 346 I have. I just don't use it as much, so let it go to a home where it can be used.

Thanks again for the comment. Someday when the wife isn't around I will line families of saws up, 2xx Huskies, 3xx Huskies, Old Homelite saws, sand cast Poulan, etc.

Excellent post Jimmy.

I've not just made friends thru these forums......more than that. I've been lucky enough to build relationships with guys that I now consider as close as family. Chainsaws? Just a means to an end. A way to pay my bills. The people I've been blessed with? Priceless.

For those not in the know, the L48 (along with a couple other models) was sold as a dedicated backhoe. It's still a QD, and has a 3 point system. I can unhook the hoe and install the 3 point in about 15 minutes

That's a little nicer than my beast

Meh. Some of that old iron has paid for itself so many times over that it doesn't matter what it looks like. International? Looks like the old silver emblem on the loader

Sounds like a perfect situation....better to get a machine that you have trust in its condition.

You never asked and we have better things to talk about than chainsaws most of the time.... like junk Saturns and state of the union while waiting in line for the company can and stuff...

Morning Mike what are you working on today
Cleaning up in the garage. I lost about $100 in parts the other day. Of course I find them after I get another order with the same stuff. I put up another shelf yesterday to sit saws on. I had them everywhere and needed more space.
