OK.......really this time. The last of the hay is done. I cut, tedded and raked, and my neighbor Donald rolled. We added 12 more rolls to the barn out of a small field. I hated to see it not in the barn........so......

I planned on square baling part of it, but Donald wouldn't hear it. He said "a man don't need to be handling bales in this heat". I agreed. :)

I hate heat but don't have a choice. Gotta make hay when it's dry and hot.

There is a universal rule of thumb . As it is with workshops ..as it is with barns...You always wish they were bigger !!
Glad the hay is in the stack though . :)

Yeah.......I got one of those. I'm not really much of a hat wearer though. I did cover the old noggin yesterday.....

I've got more barn than I'll ever be able to fill. I wish I could say that about my shop.

You could use your legs as tent stakes for shade

I got that wrong then..thought you were tight for space with the crop and the Sq bales would give you the tighter pack. For most of the time i was involved in the harvest on my family farm we ended up with small bales (4 ft long ish ) with 2 strings all loaded and unloaded by hand. Deep Joy !! needles to say when I had a say in things and we got a contractor in to make /bale the hay crop I chose the 8 ft x 4 ft big bales and a telescopic handler borrowed from my Bro in Law. Pick up 2 at a time made carting somewhat...Better :D
Extension time for the shop then .
