If your planning on keeping a wagon hitched to the bike its better to use one with a solid rear axle. Having the hitch connected to the axle instead of the frame doesnt squat the suspension.Anyone had anything to do with a Yamaha 350 big bear ? have a chance on a local 1 owner one.
Big Bear has a solid rear...same as the landrover 90 's iv had , carrying a load you dont end up with the diff closer to the ground. Never thought of that with a Quad..thanks for that info .If your planning on keeping a wagon hitched to the bike its better to use one with a solid rear axle. An irs bike with a heavy tongue weight will lighten the front end and make it harder to steer.
Any sign of Boo Boo ??Had Yogi bear cross in front of me this morning on the way to the store.

Nope, he musta had his hand in the honey pot already.Any sign of Boo Boo ??
All makes perfect sense to me ..I want a work bike not a fun off roader so think im on the right track with the one im looking into.I chose my eiger for several reasons. The solid rear axle, a mechanical 2-4wd engage and the high/low gearing.
This bike has been great so far. Has plenty of grunt for what I use it for.View attachment 30982

Suzuki 4-wheeler.What is an eiger?
Very nice indeed ...Looked after they last well, are good and reliable i should think. This pic is a couple yrs old but nonetheless, still have it. An '02 Kodiak 400 4x4. It's the YFM400 model...the only year Yamaha put a racing piston in a Kodiak. It'll fly, and will climb a tree in 4-wheel lo if you can get a tire on it.

I'll be right up Mike!
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess there aren't any Polaris Sportsman quads in Europe? I've had a couple Hondas and a couple 500 Sportsmans. I feel both are good machines, but for 2 totally different reasons.Had road bikes before but never a Quad....Always better to hear something from a owner rather than hear say. Thanks
We do have the Polaris range here and a friend has a 2 seater with a cab and the tipper bed on the back ..Drooool !I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess there aren't any Polaris Sportsman quads in Europe? Also, nothing wrong with a Yamaha like you're looking at, but I have no personal experience with that model
