I quit burning hydro poles. I think the hydro companies are onto me.

I'm now burning railroad ties. They are easier to pull from underneath tracks at night.

I don't need to worry about downed power lines after I drop a pole either anymore.
I only cut power poles when it's storming out. That way they can't tell if the wind knocked them over or not.

Well sunday afternoon ,monday and tuesday after work and this sob is out of the ground ,about 10 hours on the 40 year old backhoe ,6 stumps had grown together ,first 2 dug out ok ,had to saw releaf cuts on a couple to dislodge / break them from the others ,talk about screwing up chains .,spooned em over about 3/16 of an inch .The last doug fir stump was a heavy sob packed with dirt ,felt like i was pulling huge teeth getting them out .this area was wooded last week ,clear cut it to plant grass .need to finish getting the dirt out of the rootball so can pick it up .forks on the skidloader poke at it pretty good to remove it .stumps backhoe 083.JPG stumps backhoe 085.JPG stumps backhoe 086.JPG stumps backhoe 087.JPG

What sort of time frame was involved in pulling those out that looks like a real pain in the A$$
