It was the first time I got a weather warning in a text message from NWS.

I've never got a text. Just a triangle warning thingy up in the notification area. I did get an amber alert text yesterday tho. Some fruitloop sex offender allegedly kidnapped some chic and her daughter.

You should hear mine when there's a flash flood or tornado warning. I don't think it matters if it's turned off, it blows up and WILL wake you up. I believe it's a Verizon setting for the area affected.
