Lemme rephrase that. My mom passed away from cancer 17 years ago. I'd definitely still be celebrating mothers day if she was around.

The wife is pretty cool. Doesn't get too excited over the little stuff. We try to do something during the week, knowing that I'll be gone for the weekend

My mother passed away in 83 from Cancer. I miss her a lot. guess I was a momma's boy. most of you know the story of my father and me so she raised me and taught me respect. I miss her everyday. The kids are planning a big get together for lunch today for the wife.

Dad and I never got along from day one. Mom was my best friend. Then one night in October of 1990 I met my new best friend at the local watering hole listening to a kickass local rock n roll band. Given the reputation of the place, it's truly amazing that I met someone there I could take home and introduce to mom lol.

I quit working for mom and dad (redi mix and excavating) in 94 and went into business for myself. Since she passed in 99, dad and I became closer and quite good friends. He was a healthy 6'3 260 lb hard working guy who took no prisoners from day one. A chickenshit cancer (leukemia) took him this past December. Still sucks and I think about them both every day. Don't take your loved ones for granted. Spend every minute you can with them
