When I went out Saturday morning to fire up the tractor, I figured about a foot of snow. That crap was 3/4 of the way up my thighs. I couldn't believe it.

Oh, just incase anyone is wondering this setup is just an overgrown mig gun. The trigger is by my toe in the pic. The copper is used to stiffen the lead. I'll hold my right hand AR the end of the copper (rt side of the pic) start the arc with left hand. While running the bead I'll slide left hand back towards my right hand. Just holding the last 10" by the end of the bead.

Grab a 6ft 2x4 drive a nail in the end. Hold opposite end And type on the keyboard with the nail lol

Weld and move on. Upper management would have a heart attack seeing g an xray of these old castings. This one was made in 1942 for ford. All wood form, sand cast single pour.

That is why this one had some many dips/vallys scarfed out, they got into sand pockets and stress cracks.

The only real structureal part to this job was welding the cracks in the legs.

Filling the entire bed up is just a design change.
