We do it all here fellas... Grand Funk Railroad, BTO, ELO, Dr. Hook, Styx...the list simply goes on and on. One thing I'm proud of with a 25 yr old son and an 18 yr old daughter is...they like and wanna listen to the rock and roll of mine and a lot of you fellas times. They just eat up a good dose of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Who the hell dont?
I'm tickled with my kids interest in good music...at 25 and 18 yrs of age each...I think I did good as a Dad to spike their interests in what music and song lyrics mean, from the past.
You fellas damn sure didn't think I was gonna allow the thug, rap bullchit into their lives...now did ya?? They know all this hip-hop BS that's played today...but I know one thing...I got their asses grounded where REAL bands, music come from throughout the last five decades. And they know it all.
18 yr old daughter tonight asked me to crank up some Player...she wanted to here Baby Come Back. Not quite sure how many 18 yr old females on this planet nowadays wanna hear that Player tune...but she loves it. And we played it twice over.
Fellas I try to keep my kids grounded where real music, rock & roll come from. I can't even touch all the artists I have, whether it be 8-track, LP's from the old days, cassettes, etc. All I ever did was crank 'em up and let the kids decide over their younger years...they both chose an appreciation for tunes and rock & roll that are decades old.
Beats the dog chit outta rap don't it?? Lol.
