I wouldn't want one that isn't pointing down.
The main reason im thinking about one is just for winter.
I think it would be easier to get too. Than a hip holster that is buried under a ton of clothes.

There is a company that makes a cold weather jacket that has a holster built into the front hand pockets. That may be a better option.

Look into the M3 and M7 vintage shoulder holsters designed for 1911s.

Just strap on a drop leg holster an roll, unless your going to the city that is [emoji16]

I might just buy one. And then make changes to it until I like it.

I'd like to have a fixed blade sheath and 1 mag on the other side.

I have a couple different prop leg platforms if you want one. SERPA (currently set-up for M9, I may have a 1911 platform somewhere) as well as “universal” nylon. A drop leg takes some getting used to especially getting the thigh strap adjustment correct. Its much easier when you don’t have to run with it.
