Neighbor had a bar in the 70s 80s and 90s
Guns came in often
Kaiser aluminum was nearby.
He bought an unfired royal blue
Python for 125.00
And later on a very nice nickel plated python for 200.00
Love to have either one.

I used to think those were the bees knees too. After having a Smith and Wesson with an action job done on it I changed my mind. Much easier to make hits with than the well made Colt. Reason being is that the action is completely different between the two of them. The trigger pull on the Colt gets harder as it is being pulled DA. The Smith gets easier as it is being pulled DA. This combined with a huge difference in price made the choice for me. Then had to learn all about doing the modifications to the action. Tougher way to go but was way better than the Colt when done.

I never really got into revolvers. My dad had a few but they never did much for me. I am looking into one of the featherweight polymer framed .38 revolvers to run snake shot in for when in the woods. I always carry, but its not easy to make a “oh-damn-that-snake-scared-the-hell-out-of-me” shot on a slithering target while un-assing the area.

I'd buy one if cheap enough
They are not as durable as Smith's
I like the Smith's but rugers have been the best for me and hold up to idpa shooting.
A tuned 4" security 6 was my most accurate
The gp100 and redhawks have been good.
I'd like to try the .45 acp revolver 25-5 i think it is.

I started shooting PPC with a Colt 45ACP, was too much recoil to regain target acquisition in a timely manor, that and one stove pipe would ruin my score for sure. Took a trophy the very next year shooting the Smith & Wesson model 14 K38 with a Bomar rib a third lock and a slick tuned and lightened action job running hand loads.
