The wood was grown into the spicket most of the way.She been there awhile. Lol
I'm surprised the wood isn't darker around it. I've been told the holes left from tapping will cause staining. The wood was grown into the spicket most of the way.

I have one here that the owner is complaining about it leaking. I might go with the echo style if it's a good fit.To be honest, I've only ever installed OEM vents in 272's and "most" saw's, there were a couple times that the "Echo" style vent was necessary on other models. This could be considered on any model that it can be fitted to. Never tried it on the 272, not sure if I will as surely the AM version is more economical, the factory original isn't that much money and is barely suitable as it is. Would depend on how well the porous little white hockey puck takes to super fines I suppose.
