Love a .243. I used to use my grandpa's Browning lever action to hunt deer with.

One of the most reliable shooting guns I ever shot. Killed quite a few bucks with that thing.

The boys have Tikka rifles both .243, loaded with 100gr Sierra's. They do a nice job on deer. Buck and a doe just went by with their tails up, the kid couldn't get on em...

I got my old man's Ruger .270 when I was about 14-15. He stepped up to a 7mm for Elk when he started hunting out west.

That was like me and Dolmar saws now, I had a bolt action Ruger addiction. Lol.

I still have a SS and composite 300Win Mag at mom's house. Ain't been fired in ages.

I have a couple Rugers and like them a lot. The action/safety is a lot like the model 70 Winchester. Model 70 is my go to, have three of those. .270 is my favorite, dad bought it for me when I was 13.

139gr Hornady's are good deer poison.
