Good morning. Snowing here. Went for a jog to test out the knee. I think I was winded in 2 minutes. Done with that part of my day. Lol.

I need to get running again as soon as it warms up....

It's pretty sad when 3 years ago I ran a marathon and now I think I'd struggle to run a mile.

You are better off walking. Running is too hard on the joints. I walk 2 miles most days.
I walk all day. I put my pedometer on my phone for a couple weeks. It ranged from 10,000 steps to 20,000 on a busy day.

I had a meniscus tear in my knee recently. Technically, you are right brad, i shouldnt be trying to run. Thanks for the reminder. I need that. I'm only suppose to be using a stationary bike. But there's still some young and dumb in this 39 year old. It's hard to accept I cant run a mile when I used to wake up and do 10 miles after a beer bender then go work for 10hrs.

I'll admit, it's very hard for me to accept the deterioration of my body. Even though I helped the deterioration 100% of my life with my 100mph attitude.

I still like to go for a run every now and then. Need to get back to it more but working 7-12s constantly wears on you enough.

In 13 I ran 500-600 miles that summer while preparing. I was doing 10-12 hour days, then with younger kids at the time it sucked. It took a tole on family life. Towards the end it seemed like all I did was work and run.

I enjoy running, but last year I never did anything. I kept telling myself I'll start tomorrow night etc... Then tomorrow night never came. I kept doing other things.

I need to find a run in late summer/fall do I have something to work for.

I'd love to run The Marine Corps Marathon again, but I don't think Lisa and the kids would go for that. Even though the cause I ran for was great and we were very successful...

In my current condition I couldn't run around the block without most likely having a heart attack or stroke.
I never got into running. Even in the Army I'd rather do push ups all day long before a 5 mile run.
That being said, I'm trying like hell to walk more. I average over 10,000 steps a day at work.
Ain't getting any younger for sure and my body is reminding me daily of all the stupid chit I did in younger years.

Snows melted...all of it. Homeschooling kids now. They are giving every excuse in the book not to do their work. Little do they know, their dad has had years to build his stubborness/persistence in achieving his goals. 2 little ones are still fairly sick.

Hopefully your little ones are on the up swing. Did I read somewhere you have six little ones?
