when you get used to the outboard clutch it aint that bad Gary.
There is pros and cons with both systems, the outboard clutch produce less heat against the pto bearing and the chain is closer to the chainsaw centre but since the clutch has to longer distance to the chainsaw centre it also produce a different gyro effect compared against an inboard clutch. Another thing who is against an outboard clutch is a crank failure, have seen the axel break off on 242's and 346's cranks, doubt its an issue on 550 and 560, their cranks are super conpact!
