I've had it quite some time, it appears to be original, it's like it's missing the button on top. Maybe a real early version? Doesn't look like it's been messed with.

Those are exactly the same spikes I got with the “OEM” 372 wrap handle and spikes from ebay. I don’t have the saw anymore to post a pic.

I placed a "regular" 272 spike over it and it's exactly the same but missing the top part. Sure makes it look different though.

What's happenin
I got some new pads on the van tonight.
Pins in the calipers weren't sliding good took the rubbers out cleaned the old grease out. Tuned them up with some dielectric grease got sliding real good.
I put some drilled and slotted rotors on 75,000 miles ago according to the log book. Replaced pads couple years ago but used a grease in the pins so they got stupid and guaged the inside of the rotors. They want 25 a piece to turn them. I found the old rotors that I saved for the occasion cleaned them up. Gotem working great.

Could be, it did come off of a junk 2xx saw though. All the 372's that came through here had the ones with the holes in it. So the mystery continues...
