I appreciate the thought Mike. My biggest concern is Mom doesn’t appear to have any fight left in her. When a I saw her yesterday she wanted to know why they brought her to the hospital and didn’t just drop her at the morgue.

Your Gramps still has his mind, everything to live for when you can still enjoy your family’s company. Mom’s dementia has progressed so far that beyond knowing who we are she doesn’t really understand anything that is happening.

Yeah with Alzheimer’s mixed in. Her short term memory has been bad for a couple years but now she isn’t even remembering old things. Even at Christmas she could tell and remember things from my childhood or earlier but those aren’t there anymore either now.

Morning folks...that pneumonia took a turn for the worse Sunday. Was feeling pretty good while at work last Fri and Sat, then the bottom fell out. Was taking my antibiotics, steroids, had a couple of shots, etc. Been in the hospital since yesterday, my left lung is full of fluid but coming down...they’ll have to drain my lung if it doesn’t come down by tomorrow. This has been a rough damn ride.

Sorry to hear of all the elders having troubles, my Aunt(fathers sister) just recently passed, she quit taking her meds and had her pacemaker turned off. Lasted about a week in a home. She was 90 and said with the troubles she was having, said she was ready. Hell to get old.
