Mike and Joe would shake their heads at the rusty and dirty metal I have to weld on at times and the lack of "prep"

Rust, paint, galvanized will burn off. Who needs a grinder...

No sir, not me.

My job consists of sticking metal to 60+ yea old nasty, greasy, painted, presses. To mount the mill.

Lots of improvising involved.

Added those 4 blocks to the beam after the second mill broke last night. Tach em on and use shims to Line up within .001-2

Conventional machinest's would cringe seeing some of our setups. But we are just opposite, we hold the mill to the workpiece l, not the workpiece to the mill.

If it can break, it has...

On option 3/3. If this don't work we are up da creek without a paddle. Bout 1/8" of stock to remove yet.

Then 4 2" holes to drill and tap. And one 2 1/8" 24" deep through the middle.

Then stick a fork in her she done. 1 year today we started this project..
Pitter patter lets get at 'er.

I saw you guys were getting hit hard. The storm split right around us last evening, it went south and north, we only got a little rain.

9/10ths in about an hour...and random lightning.
Blew up one of our old Oaks out back.
Back to pumping water..

Now it's fixin' to snow.
April fools sucks this year.:teeth:

The crew is 70% done with pruning, and would be done Sunday if it wasn't for this crap.
