If there's a relay coil somewhere on a circuit board that's where I'd look first. They vibrate and eventually works the solder joint loose. It'll be cracked /usually only visible on the backside.

Shot in the dark but I've seen it a few times.

Thanks, I'll have a look. Print shows igniter/sensor controlled by a smartvalve that is obsolete and that gets info from the circuit board. 21 year old furnace, not sure if it wouldn't be better to replace the furnace.
